I am a lifestyle and wedding photographer who is no stranger to dusty lenses, long hours in front of the computer, heavy camera bags and missing lens caps.
One of life’s many treasures has always been the preservation of those truly precious moments. I look at what I do as more than just taking a quick snapshot. Being able to be a part of your day/life, I not only get to celebrate with you but I also get to provide a means for you to cherish some of your most precious memories for years to come. Capturing the feelings and movements of the day will ensure that you will continually get swept away into a land of reminiscing.
I have been involved in the wedding industry, photography specifically since I was 12 years old. I may have only been carrying camera bags, but man did I learn a lot. Having branched out on my own in the last few years I have grown an even greater passion for what I do. I am a small town girl, and have an avid love for anything equine related. I spent many years in 4-H, and held the titles of both Miss Rodeo Sundre and Miss Ponoka Stampede. I am a sucker for a home cooked meals and love spending time with my furry kids.
My biggest goal is not only to capture the real, but to capture the beauty that lies within it. I like to look past the norm of posing, and find the beauty and the feelings that lie in between.
One of my all time favorite quotes is,
“Life is amazing. And then it's awful. And then it's amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That's just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it's breathtakingly beautiful.” -L.R. Knost
I don't think it gets any more clear then that. Life has a strangely beautiful and messy way of always bringing us what we need. I have found that for every heartbreak there is always a more revolutionary love to follow, for each sadness there is an abundance of joy, and each struggle leads to triumph in your successes. Life might get messy, but that's part of the fun, and the even greater part is seeing the beauty in it all!
